HELLO! I'm Michael Simpson, CBA! i just got those initials on my name this summer, (2008) in las vegas when i passed the 4th test to become a Certified Balloon Artist. I'm super proud of it too! I got started making balloons in 2004, when i was juggling in the Eletric Blue Monkey Theatre in Central America, and I met Jason the Balloon Guy (super-awesome balloon artist!). He started showing me some basic animals and hats, and 3 months later, we decided to go to Hawaii and I would get to be his apprenctice. The first gig we got was a birthday party at Daijingu Hall in Hilo. Kids came up and asked for all sorts of things, and as Jason would make balloons for them, I would follow along as well as i could, learning all kinds of new designs. Jason left in 2005, around the time my son was born- Zen Marley. Since my first gig, I have come a long way. I have decorated for several events, I have become a CBA and my word-of-mouth reputation has grown very large :) I am currently starting my new decorating business "Balloons in Paradise", applying the knowledge i recieved from my CBA course, and I'm looking forward to making some awesome and beautiful balloons! I love making balloons animals, I love decorating with balloons, and I love entertaining kids. I LOVE MY JOB!!
